ABOUT JESSICA
FIND A CURE FOR CANCER SCAVENGER HUNT
The Find a Cure for Cancer Scavenger Hunt is in memory of Jessica’s mother, Marissa, whom she lost to cancer in 2012. The scavenger hunt benefits LivingWell Cancer Resource Center in Geneva, IL.
LivingWell provides free resources to those battling cancer and their families. LivingWell offers cooking classes, yoga, art classes, and counseling; all things that Marissa enjoyed attending to make her feel “normal.” LivingWell relies on funding and 100 percent of the funds raised from the Find a Cure Hunt benefits these programs.
The event has grown larger every year of its existence. In 2020, we sold out Hotel Baker in St. Charles, IL by hosting over 200 participants in costume to “Find a Cure for Cancer.” To date the Find a Cure has raised over $70,000+ for LivingWell Cancer Resource Center.
Thanks to the popularity of the Find a Cure Hunt, Adventures in Scavenger Hunting was born.
